Obama News Mania – On High Alert

Disclaimer – this is just my opinion – my humble gut reaction of today’s news – just an observation from my point of view.

OK, I usually don’t involve myself in such debates but this is really bugging me. All day I have been hearing on the news how putting lipstick on a pig is a common phrase. What?!?! I tell you man, this is the first time that I’ve heard it. It’s not like I walk down the street hearing people rip out the phrase. Like - “Gee, nice weather we are having – going to put some lip stick on a pig?” Really, haven’t heard it enough to know how to crowbar it into a conversation. But the media just kept going on and on about how I and probably millions of others just knew that this couldn’t possibly have any association to Palin. Hummmm – Well the way I look at it, no mater how you flip it, Obama comes out looking bad. Why? Here you go:

First, if it was just an innocent flippant remark that was misinterpreted, we have to consider the consequences of turning over international affairs to such a person. I don’t want my leader going overseas to insulting people by using comments that can be misinterpreted and then not apologizing for his poor choice of words. Really, we have had 8 years of a man who did not impress me at all in his manner of speech, I don’t want another 4 years of cringing every time Air Force 1 takes off for – You name it. Surly, Obama could of easily of understood that a connection could have been drawn between “lipstick on a pig” to Palin’s remarks. Or maybe he’s not so bright – not the intellect that his manner of speech delivery would lead us to believe - just a rattling chatter box perhaps? Is this what the news media been trying to convince me of all day? Hummm?

OK now secondly, he could have done this as news bait. It would be clever of him – to use a line that would suck in such controversy and give him the opportunity to squeal. (Sorry could not help that – my bad - poor choice of words) but he could have cleverly calculated that if he threw that out there that something just might happen. Wow, now I would be impressed if that was the case. Unfortunately, it makes him look very dishonest and too crafty to be a president. After all, I got to trust the guy!

And then thirdly: It could of just been a hateful remark – hope not – enough said.
